of birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and exotic mammals.
Our team approach to providing veterinary care means your pet is always able to
be seen by a veterinarian experienced in the care and treatment of birds and
other exotic pets. Through our daily clinical rounds and in-house
consultations, you can rest assured that your pet will receive the best care
available.
Avian and Exotic Animal Care trains all staff in exotic husbandry and triage so
that at any time you can speak with our knowledgeable staff about your exotic
pet.

Avian & Exotic House Call Policy
 House
calls are recommended for birds and exotic animals that are difficult to
transport. Examples include birds that are not used to being handled, and large
species such as miniature pigs. House calls are ideal for larger collections of
animals, such as breeding facilities, aviaries, and fish ponds. House calls are
also helpful when a pet's environment needs to be examined.
House calls may not be appropriate for addressing all animal problems. If your
pet is exhibiting signs of serious illness, an office visit may be advised. In
our hospital, many tests and treatments are possible that are not practical or
safe to perform in the field. When scheduling your appointment, please ask a
staff member to recommend which type of appointment would be best for your pet.
